Check out some of her favorite spots and secrets for 48 hours in Fargo.
Imagine you had a completely clear calendar - what does your perfect weekend in Fargo look like?
Given a free weekend in Fargo, I would use it as an opportunity to rejuvenate. Fargo offers numerous peaceful spots to unwind with family and friends.. I would embrace the chance to escape into the community where I’d find tasteful coffee, local art, beautiful parks, unique activities and more.
Where do you head when you want to show off for someone special?
My soon to be husband’s family hails from Brazil, and we frequently treat them to a Midwest-inspired meal at Rosewild. They enjoy the distinct flavors of each dish, and appreciate that they can pair their meal with a fine glass of wine or delightful dessert.
Favorite spot to take a photo that’s sure to rack up the likes on Instagram?
At sunset, the 5th floor terrace of the Jasper Hotel is undeniably one of the most stunning spots in Fargo to capture breathtaking photos and soak in the panoramic views of Broadway. If you can’t make it to the terrace, the top level of Robert’s Parking Garage is another great place to watch the sunset and take photos.
You need a jolt of energy - where do you go?
Fly Fitness knows how to bring the energy. I enjoy their upbeat cycling classes that are rhythmically synchronized. You’ll always be welcomed with a smile, and you’ll always wrap up class with a cool lavender-scented towel. I can’t recommend their classes enough, especially if you’re looking to release happy endorphins throughout your stay in Fargo.
WHAT ARE SOME OTHER THINGS SOMEONE WHO IS VISITING FOR 48 HOURS SHOULD KNOW?

Stay in the heart of downtown whether that’s in an adorable Airbnb or hotel. You’ll have groceries, restaurants, activities, nature, boutiques, breweries and more all within walking distance. There is no need to rent a car if you’ve come prepared to brave the prairie winds.

The Red River Market offers a leisurely setting for a morning stroll and purchasing locally sourced treats. I start my market day with a hot cup of coffee from a nearby shop, and find myself enjoying lunch at one of the diverse food booths available. It’s a great way to experience the renowned “North Dakota nice” and leave with something completely unique to this little part of the world.

Downtown Fargo is graced by the Red River and Lindenwood Park. Lindenwood Park provides ample green space ideal for relaxing, picnicking, or engaging in fun activities with friends, family, and pets. In the summer months, I’ll walk the paved trail and set up my yoga mat under the trees.

I think O’day Cache stands out as one of Fargo’s most enduring and unique boutiques. Founded by Cindy O’Day the store boasts a diverse collection of candles, jewelry, toys, and rare treasures sourced from various corners of the globe. I always find one-of-a-kind gifts for my loved ones that are not typically found in mainstream stores. If you have an eclectic style, you may find yourself captivated by all there is to browse and see.
