Favorite spot to take a photo that’s sure to rack up the likes on Instagram?

Easy answer, I’d take a photo in front of the iconic Fargo Theater! If you have a decent flash, I’d recommend taking a photo at night when it’s all lit up – it’s stunning! Better yet, take the photo from the rooftop terrace at the Jasper to include some killer panoramic cityscape views in your shot.

WHAT ARE SOME OTHER THINGS SOMEONE WHO IS VISITING FOR 48 HOURS SHOULD KNOW?

Every Saturday morning beginning at 10 a.m. July through October, the Red River Market in Broadway Square is the best way to kick off a weekend. Talking with local makers, farmers, and running into friends always leaves me with a deep appreciation for the positive energy of this community.

Since I work from downtown, I find it convenient to take walks along the historical 8th street in Fargo. The towering trees on either side of the street form a “tunnel” and I have fun getting lost in my thoughts while admiring the architecture of the homes along the street, which are some of the oldest in the area.

Visit the rooftop terrace of the Jasper at sunset to watch the beautiful prairie skies; in my opinion, North Dakota has the best sunsets!

A perfect weekend would include a Saturday morning at The Red River Market; every weekend features new makers, vendors, and entertainment so it’s always fresh and unique!
